At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 96.43-45 yen compared with 96.30-40 yen in New York and 95.60-61 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday. The euro fetched 1.2925-2927 dollars and 124.65-66 yen against 1.2931-2941 dollars and 124.57-67 yen in New York and 1.2799-2800 dollars and 122.36-40 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
