Chinese shares closed mixed on Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.04 percent, or 1.05 points, to end at 2,529.76. The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.59 percent, or 62.69 points, to finish at 10,583.
