Chinese stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index jumping 1.97 percent, or 40.81 points, to close at 2,115.23. The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8,743.86, up 2.39 percent, or 203.79 points.
