Gold price went up 70 HK dollars to open at 11,960 HK dollars per tael in Hong Kong on Friday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society. The price is equivalent to 1,293.74 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 7.57 U.S. dollars at the latest exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.76 HK dollars.
