The benchmark index of the Indian equities market closed lower Thursday with the 30-scrip sensitive index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, closing at 19,317.19 points, 28.51 points or 0.15 percent lower from the previous close of 19,345.70 points. The Sensex had a turnover of 5.42 billion rupees (about 90.27 million U.S. dollars).
