Gold price went down 50 HK dollars to open at 12,890 HK dollars per tael in Hong Kong on Friday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society. The price is equivalent to 1,394.34 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, down 5.41 dollars at the latest exchange rate of 1 U.S. dollar against 7.76 HK dollars.
