In its concluding session on Saturday, the conference under the rubric of “the national projects.. artery of sustainable development and tourism in Upper Egypt” recommended work on setting a full strategy for archaeological and heritage developmental projects in Upper Egypt with changing cultural tourism map to include cities and villages in Upper Egypt and encouraging small and medium enterprises in the field of antiquities.
The recommendations included the importance of putting a general map for health and medical tourism in coordination with the bodies concerned with health, tourism and environment.
The recommendations also included encouraging Arab and foreign investors, implementing petrochemical projects as a means to limit imports along with training youth and helping them to market their products and providing big loans for the farmers.
In the field of national projects for development in Upper Egypt, the conference recommended paying attention to the Golden Triangle project.
The event was launched on Thursday in Hurghada under the auspices of ministers of tourism, transport, antiquities, electricity and local development along with Egypt Tourism Authority and Arab Hospitals Federation.
