Zenit St Petersburg secured their third successive win to open the Premier League season as Sergei Semak's double helped them to a 3-1 success away to CSKA Moscow.
The Russia midfielder struck either side of a penalty from national team colleague Alexander Kerzhakov to put his team in command in the first half. Keisuke Honda pulled one back shortly before the interval but there was no way back for CSKA, who have taken three points from their first three games.
Alania Vladikavkaz got their first win with a 5-0 rout of nine-man Terek Grozny, with four of the goals coming in the first 34 minutes.
Visiting keeper Anton Amelchenko was sent off inside two minutes and Danilo Neco's two goals were added to by Tamas Priskin and Vladimir Khozin before the break. Oleg Ivanov was the second man to be dismissed and substitute Arsen Khubulov rounded off the scoring late on.
Krasnodar came from behind to beat Lokomotiv Moscow 3-1. Felipe Caicedo gave the visitors the lead but Roman Pavlyuchenko's own goal, Joaozinho's penalty and a third goal from substitute Yura Movsisyan turned the game around.
