The regional presidency of the Special Olympics for Middle East and North Africa (SOMENA) lauded the state of Qatar for hosting the elections of the regional consultancy council and the hockey training course. At the meetings being held in Cairo, SOMENA decided to organise 8 regional cups and tournaments in 2013. The meetings also discussed the preparations for the regional winter games in 2016. The meetings were attended by Engineer Ayman Abdulwahab, SOMENA Regional President, Mohammad Nasser, SOMENA Sports Manager, Sherif Al-Fouli, Manager of SOMENA Games and Competitions, Salma Al-Ghandour, Manager of SOMENA Sports Program and Maha Yaqoud, SOMENA Financial Manager .
