Rio De Janeiro - XINHUA
Fluminense coach Abel Braga has not ruled out a bid to bring Ronaldinho to the Rio de Janeiro club next season.
Little more than a day after Fluminense secured its second Brazilian top-flight championship in three years with a 3-2 victory over Palmeiras, Braga said the decision to pursue the 2002 World Cup winner was not up to him.
\"I don\'t know of anything but I can tell you with conviction that if our owner had to get him, he would. But there is nothing official.\" Braga told Sportv.
Ronaldinho says he is still undecided about where he will play next year, but admits the final three matches of the season will decide his fate.
His club Atletico Mineiro is currently third in the Brazilian championship, one point behind second-placed Gremio.
The top two teams qualify directly for next year\'s Copa Libertadores, South America\'s most important club competition. Third and fourth earn the right to play in the pre-Libertadores tournament for a place in the group phase.
\"If we don\'t make it to the Libertadores it makes a difference,\" Ronaldinho said. \"I want to play in the Copa Libertadores. I want to play in important matches.\"
\"It\'s impossible to forget the way the fans here have embraced me. My aim is to make sure I am at my best for these last three matches to help the team as much as possible.\"
