Argentina\'s Colon Santa Fe advanced to the last 16 of the Copa Sudamericana by knocking out compatriots Racing Club.
Colon took a 3-1 lead into the second leg but Javier Campora reduced Racing\'s deficit with just three minutes gone. However, the visitors regrouped and scored twice in the second half through Emanuel Gigliotti and Ivan Moreno y Fabianesi to complete a 2-1 win and 5-2 aggregate success.
Fellow Argentinian side Tigre also advanced after thrashing Argentinos Juniors 4-1 at home to complete a 6-2 aggregate win. Diego Ftacla and Gaston Diaz (penalty) scored before half-time and although Pablo Hernandez pulled one back late on, there was still time for Emanuel Pio and captain Martin Galmarini to score again for Tigre.
They will now face Deportivo Quito or Bolivian side Aurora, with Quito winning the first leg of their tie 2-1 at home. Luis Checa and Juan Lorca put the home side in command, but Charles Da Silva pulled one back in the second half to keep Aurora in the tie.
Colombian side Millonarios took a big step towards the last 16 as they won 4-2 away to Guarani. Wilberto Cosme scored twice for the visitors, who also had Wason Renteria and Rafael Robayo on the scoresheet, while goals from Carlos Hidalgo and Luis De La Cruz gave Guarani faint hope for the second leg on September 19.
