World 400m record holder Paul Biedermann posted another strongperformance on Saturday when the German took the 100m freestyle national title ina fast time on his return to competition.Having won the German 400m freestyle national title on Friday in his first race sincethe 2012 London Olympics, Biedermann won the 100m final in 48.31secs, the fifthfastest time in the world this year."That was a great race and I am noticing that with every performance a weight islifted off my shoulders," said Biedermann who missed the 2013 season and last
year's world championships in Barcelona because of a virus.Having claimed the 37th national title of his career, the 27-year-old will be lookingto claim a hat-trick for the weekend in Sunday's 200m freestyle final.Biedermann is now hoping to continue his form at the forthcoming Europeanchampionships to be staged in Berlin in August.
