FORMER Rangers football player Daniel Prodan has died after suffering a heart attack at his home. 
Doctors battled to revive the ex-Romania international, but he passed away at just 44 years of age on Wednesday. 
A statement released by Spanish club Atletico Madrid, Prodan’s former club, read: "Daniel Prodan, a former player of our club, has died at age 44 due to a heart attack".
