Russia\'s double Olympic biathlon champion Olga Zaitseva will miss the start of a key pre-season training camp in Germany after contracting a virus, a team doctor said Monday. The 34-year-old Turin and Vancouver gold medalist fell ill while on vacation in Europe, and will only be able to make the second and final week of training in Ruhpolding, Alexei Lagutochkin said. \"She is being treated. She is already recovering,\" Lagutochkin said. Nine members of the women\'s national team are already at the camp, which was the venue for the March world championships that Russia will want to forget. Russia picked up just two bronze medals at the world championships last month in its worst-ever showing. Zaitseva won 11 medals over the World Cup tour this season, including three stage wins, to finish sixth in the overall standings that were topped by Germany\'s Magdalena Neuner. She won relay gold in the 2006 and 2010 Olympics.
