Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damati announced on Saturday the launch of a project to restore the courtyard of Ramses II at the Temple of the Ramesseum in Luxor, Upper Egypt.
The minister made the remarks during the inauguration of an illumination project of Ramesseum and three ancient tombs in the tourist destination.
Temple of the Ramesseum was built by Ramses II (1303-1213 B.C.) as a funerary temple and it was dedicated to the god Ra.
