A magnitude 6.1 earthquake has killed at least 150 people and injured 1,300 injured in south-west China, CCTV announced.
The US Geological Survey said the quake had struck about 11km north-west of Wenping in Yunnan province at a depth of about 10km in a remote mountainous area there at 16:30 local time (08:30 GMT).
The quake was the strongest to hit the province in 14 years, CCTV said.
