Attack on security HQs in Mogadish

The Somali group al Shabab claimed responsibility for a major attack on security and intelligence headquarters buildings in the country's capital Mogadishu Sunday morning.

According to Skynews Arabic Channel, heavy fighting followed the attack which killed and wounded a number of people.

The militants have vowed to intensify attacks during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, which began on Wednesday.

Intense fighting continued in the area, with al Shabab claiming to have killed several intelligence officers inside the building.
