President Goodluck Jonathan speaks with British Foreign Office Minister Mark Simmonds

Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Linda Thomas-Greenfield arrived in Nigeria to attend a regional Ministerial meeting on Boko Haram on September 3.
"The following day Assistant Secretary Thomas-Greenfield will co-chair a meeting of the US-Nigeria Binational Commissionآ’s Regional Security Working Group," said a statement from the State Department.
She is also expected to meet with Nigerian government officials and civil society leaders to discuss the countryآ’s upcoming 2015 elections.
The Assistant Secretary will then travel to Cameroon to meet government officials and representatives of the NGO community there.
On the way back to Washington she will then stop in London for trilateral meetings with the UK and France. (end) ak.gta
