The Interior Ministry said that a terrorist was killed on Sunday in an exchange of fire with security forces in El Farafra.
In a statement, the Interior Ministry said that while security forces were combing area in the surroundings of Dirout-Farafra road, they discovered a suspected person. When the forces came closer, he opened fire at them. 
The man died after he attempted to set off an explosive belt that was in his possession, the statement added.
