A Palestinian boy was killed on Sunday morning during the clashes between Palestinian protestors and Israeli soldiers in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, medics and witnesses said.
Khalil al-Anati, 12, was shot dead in his back at al-Fawar refugee camp by Israeli soldiers' gunfire, according to the doctors at al-Ahli Hospital in the city.
Witnesses in the refugee camp said the boy was playing near his house when an Israeli gunshot hit his back and went out from his abdomen, adding that he was taken dead to hospital.
During the past five weeks, a total of 17 Palestinians were killed in the West Bank during protests and demonstrations against a large-scale Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip that has been going on since July 8.
