A magnitude-5.7 quake, Richter Scale, struck Dashtestan city in Bushehr province, south Iran, killing at least seven people and wounding over four dozen others. Soon after the deadly quake struck at 17: 21 p.m. (local time), rescue teams from the emergency services, and military and police forces rushed to the worst-hit Borazjan township where the epicenter of the quake was, some 60 km from Bushehr city. A crisis management was also established, Governor of Bushehr Fereidoun Hassanvand told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) tonight. "The wounded victims were transferred from the earthquake region to Bushehr and Gonaveh cities for treatment," he pointed out. The damaged cities in the earthquake include Borazjan, Abpakhsh and Sa'dabad, and the damaged villages are Kolal, Ziarat, Boneh Jaberi, Dehqayed, and Nazar Aqa, Hassanvand added.
