The North Atlantic Council, the most senior political governing body of NATO, Wednesday decided to extend the NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussens tenure of office to enable him to prepare and preside the NATO Summit which will take place in South Wales, UK, on 4-5 September 2014. Fogh Rasmussen whose term ends next summer thanked the nations and accepted this offer to extend his tenure until 30 September 2014, noted a NATO statement.
