A tractor-trailer and a bus carrying Italian tourists collided Thursday on a highway in eastern Pennsylvania of USA, killing three people and sending more than a dozen to hospitals, authorities said.

The crash occurred shortly after 10 a.m. on Interstate 380 in the Pocono Mountain region about 75 miles northwest of New York City, The Wall street Journal reported.

A spokesman for Academy Bus said one of those killed was the bus driver.
