The number of flood victims in the Malaysian district of Terengganu has raised to 5,572 people, Bernama news agency reported.
According to the state government official portal, the opening of another evacuation cente in Marang at noon today brought the total to 43.
It said in Kuala Terengganu, 3,927 flood victims from 927 families were still staying at 17 evacuation centers,
This is followed by Marang district with 989 individuals (244 families) being placed at six evacuation centers,
In Setiu there were still 349 victims (78 families) with 10 evacuation centers opened while in Besut 291 (80 families) and Dungun 16 (three families).
