A man was shot dead at a motel parking lot in the U.S. city of Houston on Sunday, local media reported. An exchange of gunfire took place early Sunday morning, shortly after a group of men followed the victim and his companion into a motel parking lot in north Houston, the Houston Chronicle reported. the man died at the scene. Police said the suspects ran away with the victim's gun and possibly other property. The man's companion escaped unhurt. Several guests staying overnight at the motel reported hearing more than 10 gunshots. One man found a bullet hole in his van later in the morning. Police have not arrested any suspects and the motive of the shooting remains unclear. No further details have been released.
