An Israeli soldier was stabbed in an attack on Saturday on highway 443, near Beit Horon in the Binyamin Regional Council, West of Ramallah.

The soldier was lightly injured in the assault and is currently being treated.

An Israeli army spokesperson said in the wake of the event, "Israeli forces opened fire and injured the perpetrator and he was detained," according to The Jerusalem Post.
