A fisherman, who was on fast along with his colleagues demanding release of fellow fishermen from Sri Lankan prison and their boats, died following a heart attack Thursday at Rameswaram in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu, police said. About 400 fishermen are on fast and boycotting fishing since Nov. 6, demanding release of their fellow colleagues detained in Sri Lanka on charges of fishing in the island nation's waters.
