The European Union Monday "strongly condemned" this weekend's attacks against civilians in Kenya and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
"Investigations should be carried out to identify those responsible for the attacks and they should be brought to justice," said Michael Mann, spokesman for EU High Representative, Catherine Ashton, in a statement.
"The EU stands by Kenya to support it in providing security to everybody in the country and to combat terrorism. We will continue to work with Kenya to bring peace and stability to the country and the region," he added.
