Egypt's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Amr Aboul Atta added that Egypt called on the UNSC to investigate into Qatar’s support for terrorism.

He added everybody knows Qatar’s role in backing terrorism in Syria, Iraq, Libya and other countries that were affected by terrorism.

Several reports issued by the Panel of Experts assisting the UNSC's Libya Sanctions Committee underline Qatar’s support for terrorism and terrorists, he said.

He also called for circulating the letter as a UN official document.

On Wednesday, a UNSC session on countering terrorism kicked off, under the chairmanship of Egypt.
