Kabul - MENA
At least four suspected militants were killed following a drone strike along the Durand Line on the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan Saturday, Khaama Press reported.
According to Pakistani intelligence officials, the airstrike was carried out near the Tirah valley of Khyber Agency.
The officials said that several suspected militants were also injured following the drone strike which targeted militant hideouts in Cancharo Kandoa area.
According to the Pakistani officials, the village is located right on the zero-line but the area where the militants were targeted falls under the Aghan jurisdiction.
The identity of the militants killed or injured in the airstrike has not been ascertained so far.
Khyber is one of the volatile semi-autonomous regions of Pakistan where Taliban and other al Qaeda-linked groups have strongholds.
Militants are often using the region to plot and stage attacks both in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
