Seventeen people were killed and 20 others were injured after a plant was rocked by blasts in Foshan City of south China's Guangdong Province on Wednesday, state-run Xinhua News Agency reported.
The blasts were heard at about 9:30 a.m. (0130 GMT) from an engineering manufacturing company in the industrial city of Foshan, local authorities said.
All injured people were rushed to nearby hospitals. Guangdong Province is one of China's largest manufacturing bases.
