At least 15 people were killed and over thirty others sustained injuries as two buses fell into a ravine after colliding with each other near eastern Pakistani valley Murree on Wednesday.
According to the initial reports by police, the accident took place at Salgraun near mountainous valley of Murree due to slippery road conditions after rain and snow. The rescue teams immediately launched rescue efforts after the deadly accident and Pakistan Army was called due to extreme cold and darkness.
According to local officials, at least fifteen dead bodies and thirty injured people including women and children were recovered from the 200ft deep ravine. The dead and injured were shifted to the PIMS hospital in the capital city Islamabad where an emergency was called.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif took notice of the incident and directed the authorities to fasten the rescue operation.
