"Bomb" kills driver in Berlin car explosion

Police in Berlin have said they suspect a bomb caused an explosion that killed a man who was driving through the German capital early on Tuesday, according to the Telegraph.

The deputy chief spokesman for Berlin police, Carsten Mueller, told reporters that the explosion occurred at about 8am (7am GMT) in the western district of Charlottenburg.

Berlin police sealed off the area. Bomb experts were also on the scene investigating whether there were any further explosives and officers told residents in the area to stay indoors and keep their windows shut.
