Boko Haram militants have attacked Mbaljuel, a village in the north of the African country, killing around 30 civilians, regional governor Mijiyawa Bakary said, Russia Today channel reported.
"We do not yet have all the facts, but our divisional officers and security officials are filling us in," Bakary said on Saturday.
It comes as the Cameroon military said it killed 53 Boko Haram militants, bombarding a camp of radical Islamists, not far from another village, bordering Nigeria, on Friday night.
