Three crew members died and two were missing after several six fishing vessels capsized during bad weather in south-western Japan Tuesday, reports said, according to dpa.

The three men were pronounced dead after being rescued by a coast guard ship off Tsushima, about 1,100 kilometres south-west of Tokyo, broadcaster NHK reported, citing authorities. One person was missing.

Another fisherman was missing after his boat was found overturned off Shimonoseki city, 900 kilometres south-west of Tokyo, NHK reported.
