At least nine people were killed and over 3, 000 others injured due to hailstorms and untimely rain in southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, state run All India Radio (AIR) reported Friday. The AIR reported the parts of Telangana and Rayalaseema regions in Andhra Pradesh received hailstorms in the last few days causing heavy losses to livestock and damages to agricultural produce. Quoting the state Disaster Management Commission, the AIR reported that six persons died and over three thousand injured in Warangal district alone while two died in Ananthapur and one more in Nizamabad districts of Andhra Pradesh due to hailstorms. Apart from that, the report said 1400 livestock died while over 500 houses were damaged.
