At least nine people were killed and 10 others injured in a traffic accident on Monday as a passenger bus turned over in Sivas province in central Turkey, daily Hurriyet reported on its website. The bus, coming from the eastern province of Van to the Turkish capital of Ankara, lost control on the Sivas-Ankara Highway in Yildiz town of Sivas due to the slippery road on Monday morning, according to the report. The bus hit the barrier and turned over, leaving nine passengers dead and 10 others injured, said the report, adding that the injured were taken to the nearby hospitals. Another traffic tragedy occurred on Thursday, leaving at least 21 people killed and 29 others injured due to the heavy fog and slippery road in Kaysari province in central Turkey, private NTV news channel reported.
