Nine people were killed on Friday after a bus caught fire on Indonesia's Sumatra island, the state news agency Antara reported.
The bus was carrying 36 people in West Sumatra's Sijunjung district when a fire erupted in the driver's compartment and quickly spread, Hardiwan, a local disaster management official, told Antara.
"The dead victims were burned beyond recognition," Hardiwan was quoted as saying.
