A military helicopter crashed Friday in central Romania, killing eight people and injuring two, dpa quoted the national emergency service as saying.
The cause of the accident near the Transylvanian city of Sibiu was not immediately clear.
Defence Minister Mircea Dusea said that the aircraft was taking part in a military exercise. Romania has been a NATO member since 2004.
