7 members of family were killed in eastern Afghanistan when their vehicle struck roadside bomb

Seven members of a family were killed in eastern Afghanistan when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb, an official said Tuesday.
"The incident took place in Andar district late on Monday, when the family was travelling from one village to another," said Mohammad Ali Ahmadi, the deputy governor for the eastern province of Ghazni.
No one claimed responsibility for the bombing, but Ahmadi accused the Taliban of being behind the blast.
Taliban and other insurgent groups place landmines to target the Afghan and foreign forces in the volatile provinces of the country, although the majority of victims are civilians.
