Thirty three people were killed in northwest China's Shaanxi province after a bus overturned and fell into a valley Friday afternoon, Chinese news agency (Xinhua) reported.

The accident happened Friday afternoon, when a bus carrying 46 plunged 30 meters into a ravine in Chunhua county of Xianyang city.

Twenty five people lost their lives immediately, while five others who were severely injured died despite medical treatment.
