The collision of two buses in northern Spain killed three people and injured 26, police and emergency services said Sunday, according to dpa.
The buses were travelling from Portugal to France when the accident occurred late Saturday at a highway rest stop near Torquemada in Palencia province.
Witnesses said the buses were leaving the rest area and were on the acceleration ramp to return to the highway when the one in front suddenly braked and the second bus crashed into it.
The victims were Portuguese working in France who were returning to their jobs after visits home.
