Authorities in eastern Canada said Wednesday they conducted a sweep targeting biker gangs and arrested at least 28 suspects.
About 220 law enforcement officers from several agencies executed 30 search and arrest warrants across the Niagara region as an investigating dubbed "Project Resurgence" was wrapped up, the Bullet News Niagara website reported.
The investigation into The Outlaws and the Black Pistons motorcycle gangs began early this year.
Authorities say they found evidence of narcotics and weapons trafficking, assault, extortion and other crimes.
More arrests were expected, Bullet News Niagara said.
