Two Russian climbers have died from altitude sickness in the Everest region, dpa quoted police in Nepal as saying Thursday.
"They were part of a nine-member group climbing Mount Amadablam," said Bhanubhakta Nepal, a police officer based in Solukhumbu
district.
He said Victor Igolkin, 47, had died on Tuesday evening and his friend Pavel Ivanovskiyko, 63, had died early Wednesday.
"They were going up from Camp Two to Camp Three when they fell sick," he said.
Their bodies were airlifted to Kathmandu.
