Two persons were killed in an ambulance helicopter crash in central Norway, the Norwegian-language newspaper Aftenposten reported on its website on Tuesday.
A third person, who was injured, has been taken to a hospital in Oslo, capital of Norway, from the site of the crash near Sollihoegda, said the report.
The helicopter, which belonged to the Norwegian Air Ambulance, plunged from a relatively low height and destroyed when it almost reached the spot near the Soensterud Tunnel on the E16 expressway, where a truck had overturned earlier.
A crisis team was sent by the Norwegian Air Ambulance to handle the incident.
Both military and civilian emergency services were mobilized for rescue operation after the crash occurred.
An ambulance helicopter like this is usually staffed with a pilot, a rescuer and a doctor.
The report did not provide details about the persons who lost their life in the crash.
