Nineteen workers suffered carbon monoxide poisoning while working overnight in the Channel Tunnel, French officials said on Sunday.
One of them was "quite seriously affected" and taken to a hospital in Calais and then to Lille in Northern France, AFP reported.
Sixty workers were in the process of changing rails on the line between the towns of Calais in France and Folkestone in Britain overnight.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause.
