At least 14 people were killed and some others injured in a road mishap in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh Wednesday, a senior police official said. "The mishap happened when a truck in which the victims, all laborers, were travelling overturned on the Datia-Jhansi highway in the state. While 14 people died on the spot, those injured have been admitted to a local hospital," he said, on condition of anonymity. The truck was loaded with bags of rice and was travelling at a high speed when the mishap happened, eyewitnesses told local TV channels. A probe has been ordered into the mishap, the official added.
