At least 14 people were killed when a speeding truck lost control and rammed into two vehicles in Sitapur in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh late Friday. The accident took place near Tedwa village when the driver of the truck lost control and rammed into a Tata Magic vehicle and a Maruti Alto car, killing 14 people on the spot. All the 14 dead were men, police said, adding that the injured have been rushed to a hospital, where condition of two was critical. The truck driver managed to flee and a manhunt has been launched to nab him, Additional District Magistrate, Rajesh Pandey said.
