Twelve workers trapped under a collapsed tunnel in northeast China's Jilin Province for two days are all alive and in good condition, local authorities said on Friday. A high-speed rail tunnel under construction in Hunchun City collapsed at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday when 12 workers were pouring concrete to reinforce it. Rescuers got in touch with and delivered food to the trapped workers at 1:55 p.m. on Friday through a passage they bored to the collapsed tunnel. Rescue work is ongoing, and police are investigating the cause of the accident.
