A Turkish soldier was killed when Kurdish militants opened fire on a military helicopter in the southeastern province of Sirnak, the military said in a statement on Monday.
At least seven other soldiers were wounded in the attack.
Meanwhile, local media reported four Turkish police officers were killed in a roadside bomb attack in the southeast blamed on Kurdish militants.
The mine explosion took place in the Silopi district of Sirnak province bordering Iraq and Syria.
